Chat
AgentWork opens on the chat page. Your chats with every agent sit on the left, the open chat in the middle, and beside it what that agent is doing right now.
One page for every conversation
After you sign in, AgentWork opens on Chat, with three columns:
- Left: your chats. Recent lists your chats with every agent, newest first, grouped into Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 days and Older. Each shows its agent, its title and its last line. Team lists everyone by department with what each is doing, so you can start a chat with anyone.
- Middle: the open chat. The messages, the reply as it streams in, and the box to write in.
- Right: details. The agent, what it is doing right now, a question waiting for your answer, its current project and its latest moves.
Search sits on top of the list (press /). It finds chats by their title, their last line or the agent's name, and in Team it finds agents.
New chats and their names
New chat asks who the chat is with: the CEO first, then the department leads. The chat is created when you send your first message, and that message becomes its title. Rename a chat with the pencil next to its title, or delete it from the bin in the chat's header.
What an agent is doing
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Available | No work running; ready for a new task. |
| Working | Doing a task or using a tool, such as searching or reading sources. |
| Planning | Queued, planning or waiting for review. |
| Needs you | A question or decision is waiting for you. |
| Maintenance | Out of model quota, failing repeatedly, or marked as in maintenance by you. The reason is shown. |
A department lead's details also show the questions from its specialists. Answer in place: type the answer under the question and send it, and the task carries on.
An agent in Maintenance carries on by itself once the problem clears, such as a subscription quota resetting or a model connection being fixed. One you marked yourself comes back with Back to Work on its page.
On other pages and on a phone
On every other page the Chat button at the bottom right opens a small chat window. Its Open on the chat page button moves that chat to the full page.
On a phone, the list and the chat each take the whole screen, and the details open from the button in the chat's header. The page updates live without reloading.
